Mortgage lenders use multiple credit reference agencies and you are able to see what the lender see prior to making any applications.
How do I download my Check My File Report?
If you already have an account with Check My File, you simply need to log in and/or resubscribe to download your report (go to Step 2)
Step 1 – Sign up to Check My File
Click the link to “Sign-Up”
Step 2 – Complete Personal Details
Please ensure you add / include all 3-years of Address History. Once you click View Your Credit Report Now, it can take a few minutes to search and download your details until you are taken to your Credit Report.

Step 3 – Downloading Credit Report
You can now scroll through your report checking all Credit Information, Electoral Roll, Financial Associations etc. If you scroll to the bottom of the report you will be able to see ‘View Downloadable Report’ if you click this it will take you to a generated PDF version, you’ll be presented with your password which is your date of birth in format DDMMYY.
Step 4 – Sharing your Credit Report with your Adviser
Once you have opened your PDF report, see below of how you share that report depending on the device you are using.
Mobile Device
Once you click the report it will take you to a PDF where you need to type in your password which is your date of birth in format DDMMYY and this will open the report. You should then have the ‘Share’ button to email the PDF report to us. Please ensure this sent via email as oppose to sharing a link.
Desktop Computer
Once you click the report it will take you to a PDF where you need to type in your password which is your date of birth in format DDMMYY and this will open the report. Once you have the PDF open you can save this as a PDF attachment in your file, then email the report over to us.
