Market Commentry

We’ve seen another week of ‘mass lender rate withdrawals’ across a number of products ranges, the majority increasing rates, some lenders providing no notice. The 5-year fixed rates at low loan to values have now risen back above 4% and 2-year fixes on average are 0.5% higher than their respective 5-year fixed rates. The tracker products proving more expensive, the only benefit for these products is if rates fall or if you are looking for no-tie flexibility; whilst all the while starting at a higher baseline for the rate.
